Psychological Evaluations
Dr. Sheriece conducts four different Psychological Evaluations. These evaluations can take 2-5 hours depending on the type of evaluation being completed. In many cases, you can use your insurance for psychological evaluations., except for pre-adoption evaluations. Please verify your coverage before the first appointment as a prior authorization may need to be completed.
Biopsychosocial Evaluations aide in treatment planning with your medical or mental health providers if there are differential diagnosis needs for mental disorders and/or medications.
Psychoeducational and/or ADHD Evaluations are completed to aide in understanding educational needs in school and/or functional abilities in the workplace. These evaluations will allow for accommodations to be requested for a classroom accommodations at the university level and/or ADA accommodations at employment. Only available for over the age of 18 at this time.
Pre-Operational Psychological Evaluations are requested by surgeons for specific surgical interventions such as gender affirmation, bariatric or spinal surgeries.
Pre-Adoption Psychological Evaluations are requested by adoption agencies as they are determining your fit to proceed through the adoption process. All adults over the age of 18 living in the home will need to complete an evaluation. Dr. Sheriece only works with adoption agencies that are accredited by Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) and reflect the principles and values found in the Hague Adoption Convention. These evaluations are not covered by insurance as they are not related to mental health concerns and you will be required to pay out of pocket.
